We had a place to stay for the night in Carlsbad NM, about 40 miles from the caverns. The caves close early in the day, so we didn’t make it soon enough. So we spent the evening looking around this cool little town.

We found another one of these “wood” parks here. The kids were in heaven.

As we drove around trying to find dinner, we saw these trees totally filled with turkey vultures. It was NUTS.

We went to dinner at this little place. Good food, terrible service.
