Thanksgiving Day 2012

So, the Orem Hite group was up bright and early.
We took showers, got dressed, and started cooking.
We made twice baked potatoes, a huge veggie tray, ranch dip, and a cream cheese shrimp and cocktail dip. Once finished, we rolled over to Nitsy’s to join the gang that was gathered there.
Unfortunately, the only picture I got of all of our hard work was taken with a weird setting on my camera!

The day was spent the day playing boardgames and “watching football.” It was on, but I wasn’t watching. There was lots of work to be done, and lots of little kids to be hugged. Just ask Grandma Hite.

The night before Thanksgiving, while the boys played dominion, mom worked on grad school work, and the kids slept, Betsy and I worked on holiday crafts.
Betsy cut these leaves, to put up for a “thanksgiving wall”

Hands, of the kids. From a paper at Maverick. We could have turned them in for a free drink, but we didn’t.

More crafts to follow…
Betsy was hard at word all day in the kitchen.

She made the turkey, stuffing, green beans and rolls. We made mashed potatoes and betsy did the gravy, like a champ!
Then it was photo shoot time.
Betsy decreed that there would be a dress code for dinner, HATS.
I made the Pilgram hats and betsy made the bonnets.
