We Got COVID

Like all downfall and good stories, the beginning always starts with irony and hubris.

Monday

We celebrated Day of the Dead simply and quietly. We had FHE where we talked about family members that had passed. Karl shared about his brother’s Eric and Craig. We sat at the table afterwards and watch Coco and made get well cards for our teachers.

Tuesday:

Election Day, what a rough day. Early polling was showing trump with a stronger showing that seemed to be forecast.  We were stressed out and didn’t sleep much.

Wednesday:

We were all exhausted from the day before, so when Mirah was extra tired that morning I didn’t think much of it. BUT when she got home from school she said she had a head ache.  I felt her head, and she had a fever. We laid down in bed.

I took my temp, and it was a little elevated too.

THURSDAY

Between two teachers with COVID, and the head aches and fevers, we all went to get tested.

FRIDAY

We were all in bed. SO tired, headaches, nausea, body aches, and fevers.

MONDAY:

I called our doctor’s office, Mirah was Positive, and the rest of us were negative! Which was weird since all of us had been sick too! Well, except Karl. He just had a head ache and tiredness. He said he was “perfectly healthy.”
