After the Frozen adventure, we headed back to the Disneyland park. We finally got our picture in front of the Mickey flowers.
Jim and Lynnelle had gone to Car Land, to get a gift for Lucas. So we went to what used to be, Aladin’s Oasis, and got a Dole Whip. (We got a mixed Raspberry and Pineapple)
Afterwards we went to Big Thunder Mountain.
Here we go!
It’s a pretty great coaster. We head a great time, the kids really loved it.
This was, sadly our last ride with Grandma and Grandpa. They had to head back to Yuma, because they had work the next morning. One last picture, lots of hugs and kisses, and then goodbye.
Our first stop once the left, was Splash Mountain!
We still had our Max pass and we were going to make the best of it! BUT. We may have been a little hasty, and we paid the price.
There are three or four drops in this ride, and the photo below is us dropping from the biggest and final one. I was already really wet, and was realizing that I was about to get SOAKED.
Which I DID.
Soaked, to my skin totally wet for the rest of the night.
We stopped at the French Market Resturnat for dinner. We got a Mint Julep and Mickey shaped beignets. I had a delicous beef stew in a sour dough bread bowl.
The kids got noodles and mac n cheese and Karl for a shrimp poboy.
After dinner we were off to Tomorrow Land! We went on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster. Lucas was in my cart, and despite how cold we both were, it was a blast.
Next Stop, Autopia! Mirah was the driver, I had the peddles. And I will say it was a terrifying glimps into my future.
Next we went on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, it was warm, and calm and quiet in there.
And even though it was tight, we loved it.
Next we used a fast pass to get another ride on Star Tours. Lucas was starting to fade again poor guy.
We got our 3D glasses on!
It was really great, this second time it was the original trilogy story and cast. It was similar, but different and fun.
The last two things we wanted to do:
Indiana Jones Ride, and the Tiki Room.
Lucas was fading, so I ran into the Indiana Jones ride with a fast pass with Mirah. I love this ride, it was great. Then Karl and I switched, and I took Lucas to the tiki room.
I’ve never been to it before, and I loved it!
It was such a cool way to end the day. Just me holding my sleeping baby watching animatronic birds singing.
We walked out of the park with the big crowd, as it closed.
While waiting in line for our last ride, I check my instagram, and Jim Gaffigan had just posted this:
Yeah, that is basically the way I was feeling, but also, it was pretty great, and I love having these fun experiences with them.
