A big part of my life the last year has been volunteering in the PTA. It is a lot of papering and going to the bank and counting money, so I generally don’t write much about it. But I had an experience this weekend, that literally had me in tears, swearing, and vowing that I would never go back. What, what, what could bring a woman in her mid thirties to her breaking point?
Closing the PTA’s books. 🙁
Blessedly, thankfully, there was Stacee Dye. She, without pay, helped me balance my books.
It took over 30 hours. AND 10 of those hours were spent on Sunday, the day before the books were due. I got there at 1:00, and left at 11:30 PM. 🙁
