Yellowstone Day Two: Mammoth Hot Springs

It was getting warm, and the afternoon was bright. We made our way over to Mammoth Hot Springs area. It was really cool that there was a town that time forgot right in the middle of the park. All the buildings seemed to be build in the 30’s and it was like driving through another time. The hot springs overlooked the whole area.

It was a sight to behold!

As we started down the board walk, we saw the huge Liberty Cap dormant hot spring. It looked SO much like the figures in Carlsbad Caverns. Look:

Mirah was getting tired. BUT no worries, she got her second wind. She and Karl climbed all of the stairs. While Lucas and I drove up the hill, and picked them up on the top.
