The day started nice and slowly. We turned on the Thanksgiving Day parade.
And Thanksgiving cereal.
And more parade.
The Turkey had been in the the fridge with a dry rub. Karl was of course in charge of the Turkey.
Meanwhile…Mirah and Lucas independently put on their snow clothing and went out back to play!
Leaf Mountain.
Belle and Adam had arrived the night before at like 2 AM. They left early that morning to got to breakfast with Adam’s sister Carol Ann. They were back around noon. And this was where you found all of us watching the Purina Dog Show. It was a delight.
Flash forward to dinner time. We had the turkey, and a salad, veggies, twice baked potatoes, and cranberry sauce.
Malia brought this marvelous homemade pumpkin pie, and beat us to my mom’s house.
Mirah had spent a significant part of the day making cards for everyone.
Dinner was in mom and dad’s new basement. Here was the kid’s table.
And here is my plate.
Everyone, but Maryn was there. And although Cameron was on his Computer the whole time, it was fun.
After dinner we played a game. The Game of Things. The kids even joined in, and mom too. Malia and Karl figured out a way to do it digitally.
Lucas wanted to be with his Uncle Branny.
It was a pretty great night.
Feeling thankful for my family. Thankful that we could all be together. Thankful that my mom and Dad live in Utah. Thankful for Paris.
