Well, the first visit that Karl and the kids had with Simon was too much. He was too cute, and it was too much to handle, not being able to hold him. SO, we loosened our restrictions for a couple of hours, and Simon, Mom, and Chelsea were the first non Pipkin Hites to cross our doorway in 9 weeks.
We all wore masks, except Simon of course, and you can see in our eyes the joy we all were feeling at being with this sweet boy.
Uncle Karl met a best friend for life.
Mirah was excited to hold him, but nervous about the whole thing.
Not as nervous as me.
Then there was Lucas who took to the whole experience like a fish to water. He was in heaven. He LOVED “baby Simon” and just didn’t want to let him go. He had the longest turn of us all.
Aunt Chelsea gave Mirah a birthday Present, a best friend’s necklace. One half for her, the other half for Ruby, their doggie, who shares a birthday with Mirah.
It was such a nice visit.
