We had daily birthday week crafts. Lucas had selected “Crabs” as his birthday party theme. We have decided to cut down on our Quarantine Team. The numbers in Utah have been steadily going up. Plus Nick, who has not been following national safety protocols (i.e. traveling from out of state multiple times, going on dates with randos) has been coming in and out of the Reddoch home. Malia is back in the office, and really the bottom line is I am scared.
I mention all of this here because I had planned on doing all or some of these things at his birthday party with all of the kids. We had to settle just doing them together, which was pretty great too.
Our first craft, crab hand painting.
Lucas was as always enthusiastic, and as always crazy. 🙂
Mirah photographed us as we worked. We (the kids) painted this card stock first with blue water colors. They dried, and we came out to really decorate:
Mirah’s turn-what a lovely wonderful little lady.
Lucas making a mess, Mirah photographing it.
Mirah’s turn-many fewer photographs. Since I was helping Mirah and I don’t trust Lucas with the camera yet.
Next Craft: Melting Chocolate dipped Oreo Crabs.
First we made a bed of graham cracker crumbs for our little guys to live on.
Dipping time!
Cookie Crabs!
We also had a glow stick party in the basement!
Egg Carton Crabs!
We were all working on these together again, and I didn’t get much of a chance to photograph with all of the paint and glue, and cutting it was all hands on deck.
More results will be shown later.
