We went to 7 Eleven just like we do every year. As you can see by the signs on the door, they were not doing free slurpee’s that day, but we went to visit anyway, it was still our tradition.
Signs on the machines too.
We waited for a family that arrived after us, but had no manners and crowded around the machines so we had to stand back and let it happen to us. Eventually we got our turn. They had these old cell phone cups, and since it was Lucas’s birthday, we got the kids each one. It made the whole thing a little more fun. Mirah pink of course and Lucas green (they didn’t have orange.)
Outside shot!
When we paid for them, we told the clerk that it was Lucas’s birthday. So he gave us a bunch of coupons to come back and get a free Slurpee sometime.
We got home, watched a show and finished our drinks.
We opened some more gifts (bug nets, just like he asked for)
We went to lunch at Jay Dogs, by Lucas’s request.
As we got home, we had friends waiting with a gift for Lucas:
YEP, Luke’s best buddy Dane was there, gift in tow, to say hi!
Boys.
Staying “wings” length apart. We went in and got Dane some birthday treats to enjoy.
We got him a little baggies of skittles since he is allergic to everything in the cookies. 🙁
After lunch the mail arrived, and came with more gifts! Aunt Chelsea sent Lucas all the Carl books.
Uncle Adam sent this picture with his birthday wishes. It’s Adam’s favorite from the old days when they were living with us.
Lucas’s 4th birthday cake.
