Summer birthdays and pool time go together perfectly! So we jumped into the pool.
Oh my gosh I love my family. They are so beautiful.
Beautiful.
We got the Pinata that Karl and I made earlier in the week, and then…
Grandma and Grandpa Hite arrived! They are eternally generous, and of course came with loads of presents. They brought him so many nice things. First thing was a lovely bed time set of things! Sweet Spider-man PJ’s and an beautiful new blanket!
Lucas was ABSOLUTELY thrilled. The blanket took a reported 150 hours to make! Grandma Hite loves her Lucas SO much. Jim told us that the fabric on the front was all from her own current collection. The boarder is spider web, Grandpa Hite said he picked it out. The back is an actual sheet Lynnelle found at the Goodwill. She had to buy it twice, because she accidentally donated it, then had to go and buy it back. (hahahahahaha) I love it. She also hand quilted the whole thing!! It turned out so freaking amazing. It was such a surprise, and I just love it so much. ALMOST as much as Lucas loves it.
Grandma and Grandpa got him some cool helicopter shooters. A fun new dog card game, and a book especially from Grandpa about all the different kinds of FARTS-with sound buttons.
They gave him a Jetfire, and in less time than it took to build it, it was stuck in the tree above us.
They even got him a copy of Scramble, one of Karl’s favorite games as a kid.
We sat and chatted and laughed and together for hours.
Grandpa Hite, ever the animal lover, loved our little Luna.
