For Christmas Jim and Lynnelle GERNROUSELY got all the grandkids an annual subscription to Kiwi Co! It is seriously one of the coolest gifts the kids have ever gotten. They get little crates once a month, and we sit together and build them.
This month, Lucas got: THE CLAW
He and I sat together and built it. All the instructions are at his level, and he loves to build, and screw, and stick and twist until he has the final product.
The instructions are simple and step by step.
Mirah’s first project is a art portfolio holder. She and her dad worked together to stitch and make patterns with the brads.
Once Lucas’s claw was made, we got to make little puff ball monsters to pick up with it. It was really good at wrapping the yarn around the frame.
These cuties having a ball.
Snip snip, and the little fuzzy monster was born.
And Lucas was using his claw to pick up everything.
With careful consideration, Mirah made her portfolio look just lovely.
For some reason Lucas was a month ahead of Mirah’s crates, so he had one when she didn’t. He was too excited to wait for her to get another one, so on February 10th He and I spent a morning building his lantern.
It was pretty cool.
He still has it on he dresser.
