February 12th was a NUTS day. It was the day the kids celebrated Valentines day, ACTAUL Chinese new year AND Abe Lincoln’s birthday. We had to do new year on Thursday, do the kids Valentines on Friday, and waited until Presidents day (Monday) to celebrate Abe.
It meant we could celebrate with the Whitmores, and as we all love Sensuous Sandwich-they were in!
We got in line and ordered. This place never changes, even the smell is the same after all these years.
Oh my goodness, Karen was SO embarrassed, I freaking love it.
We brought the Sandwiches home, and had a feast there.
After lunch, the snow was calling, and so we were out at the park to go sledding.
The kids were STOKED.
The moms were pretty happy too.
There wasn’t powery snow, but there was enough to have some fun.
woo hoo!
The kids.
Oh my goodness, what a lovely face.
She’s also a free fun spirit, ready for an adventure.
Lucas was in his element.
Karen snow surfs.
There she goes!
Not afraid of anything.
Kids racing!
Cuties.
These little cuties,
Krysta-teaching me to be a fun mom.
Karen, showing me that even though she was too cool for dress up, she is still as silly as ever.
The snow on the south side, but it was en0ugh to get going.

Back at home, we read a Battle of the Books-Lincoln and Kennedy, a Pair to Compair by Beretta
A fun way to end Presidents Day.
