After months of waiting, we were finally there: Disneyland!
We were there a little early, so we had to wait to get into the park.

Since our honeymoon, I have been trying to get Karl to go to Disneyland. I don’t think he would have gone if it wasn’t free. Needless to say, I could hardly contain my joy!
While we waited, these little Asian boys felt up Karl.
It was getting really crowded when we finally got in.
With all our might, we ran to Space Mountain.
Hooray!
It was even better than I remembered.
We stuck around in Tommorow land for a while, and went on the Buzz Lightyear ride.
Next the Matterhorn
We ran out to Toontown after that. I had never been so it was really exciting.
We went on the Roger Rabbit ride, recognize this stuff?
Us on the shortest roller coster ever:
The tea cups!
Mr. Toads Wild Ride! I had never been before.
Classic Pose.
Big Thunder Mountain.
The Haunted Mansion.
The Jungle cruise.
We did all of that before 1pm.
Betsy gave us a tip about the best corn dogs on the planet.
Lumpier than I imagined.
It was wonderful to sit down.
We had some delicious ice cream too!
Another first for me, the Abe Lincoln show, where there is a life size animatronic replica of the old boy himself. The face was based on a life mask taken of him before he became president.
I was in Lincoln heaven.
Sweet pic! I love his hair, plus his eye doesn’t look dead yet.
Next we met Mickey!
Yes. He held my hand.
Hooray!!
Christmas Card!
Another go on Space Mountain.
This time, Karl picked up this sweet shirt.
We were starting to get a little tired as we waited for the Finding Nemo ride.
Me more than Karl…
A new experience for Karl.
For dinner we went to the Blue Bayou, the restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Again, this is something that I have always wanted to do, so I was impatient to get in.
Small menu, big prices.
It was really cool, you could see boats of people floating by.
We enjoyed our starter of salad for Karl
and gumbo for me.
Karl had the Spicy Jambalaya
I had the Salmon.
We were getting totally tired at this point.
We road on the monorail…
Sleepy…
We did some shopping, not buying though.
Oh, and I got a sweet Captain EO shirt!
DAY TWO!
Classic Shot!
We were the on the first Jeep of the day on Indiana Jones. In fact we spent the first hour of our day in Disneyland we did Indiana Jones,
Pirates of the Caribbean,
and a third ride on Space Mountain.
California Adventure opened.
It was our first time there so we did the big rides first.
Sorrin’ Over California made me cry…it was so cool and I made me reailze we belong in California.

Next, two consecutive rides on the Tower of Terror.
Then to the carnival rides.
The coaster California Screamin’ was fun, in true Disney fashion there was a soundtrack in your ears the whole time.
Next was our longest wait, Midway Mainia.
It is an interactive arcade Toy Story ride.
Did I mention it was 3D too?
40 Min later we were finally there!
Karl killed me.
The fairs wheel was really scary.
Grizzly Rapids got us totally soaked.
We were tried a little earlier that day…
We headed back to downtown Disney to the Forrest Cafe for lunch.
We sat by some elephants. Which was really cool, until a million little kids came up to the table to see them close up. We love children, but it is a little off putting when you are eating at a restaurant.
Karl got the Amazon feast:
I got some steak, shrimp, and ribs. Oh yeah!
A lovely fish tank.
We were exhuasted. So we decided to take a break, when Karl was approached to participate in a focus group, for $100 dollars.
LATER THAT NIGHT…
California Adventure became elecTRONica…
There was even a Flynn’s arcade!
There was even a Flynn’s arcade!
We went on a few more rides, watch the World of Color,(which is a show where they project movies on to spraying water in a Biligio style fountian show) and had some dinner.
On our way back over to Disneyland we were stopped again to take a five minute survey, no reward involved.
I was annoyed.
We saw the fireworks, and the day was over…
Goodbye Disneyland, thanks for the memories.
Thank you Heritage, for the tickets!

Wow! Karl doesn't look bored… My favorite is Allie holding Mickey's hand. I have some similar ones of her with Minnie about 20 years ago.
