The much anticipated summer fest day was FINALLY here! We had Karen with us that day, AND Aunt Malia too! We thought it would be fun to go out and enjoy some delicious brecky. We were all STOKED for pancakes, so JOE’S cafe was the best place to go.

Waiting for food is always tough.

It was a bright sunny day, and Summer Fest didn’t start for another few hours so we went over to the park to play.

Flash forward, it was time for the carnival to start, and the ticket’s weren’t even on sale. Krysta and Zac came and met up with me, Karl, Malia, Karen, Mirah and Luke.

There were only a couple of rides open. Luckily one of them was the Spinning Strawberries.

The other one, the big slide! The kids were all so excited they ran up ahead of us.

When an adult got going they ran right into the gate at the end.

It was a pretty slow, ill attended, HOT day.

This lovely bear was there though.

Mirah was just stoked to have a balloon.

The kids were already getting over being out, so we stopped and had snow cones.

These kids are so freaking cute. 

We tried to get some food.

We left after about an hour. I really feel like I don’t want to go back ever again.
