It was a pretty great day. I love my sweet family and friends so much.
One of my favorite things about Mirah these days is how she makes and puts signs up on our front door. This is today’s:
Another thing that I love about this holiday is our pictures in front of the flag.
I love watching the kids from the young women and men put them out in our yard.
Something new we tried this year. We went to Walmart and got a bunch of half priced flowers to plant in that back yard!
When we got home, we ate the doughnuts we bought while we were out!
Then I planted flowers flowers in the back yard.
We pulled in an old Pipkin tradition. KFC picnic.
Karl resisted. But I think that I won them all over.
Delicious and fun.
Then the kids started playing in the yard!
Next favorite tradition…a million pictures of the kids.
After playing in the water and taking a million pictures we had dinner of hot dogs!
More pictures on the porch.
Then our cute little family.
Then Popsicles and more pictures. I freaking love every one of these faces.
Judah and Asher.
Lucas and Mirah.
Karen.
Rosie and Ginger.
Krysta gave Mirah and amazing braid.
We started the daytime fireworks.
It was still pretty hot out there so we went inside to cool off while it got dark.
She’s beauty and she’s grace…
It was getting late, and the sun was finally going down. Sparkler time!!!
It got dark and the big fireworks show started.
It was time for bed, so we went for bed.
