On a cold December morning, we were able to participate in something I will never forget. We went to our dear Nalani’s house to Christmas Carol. There were a group of students, some of them her former students, that would be playing one of the songs on the Ukulele, Mirah was one of them. Karl came along to see Mirah, but also to show his love and support for Naliani.

This year’s PTA president, and Naliani’s friend and neighbor, Aimee Monsen. The student’s all signed a quilt for her to use with she was in Kemo.

All the grownups came from the East. All the kids cane from a bus from the west.

The Principal Boyce Campbell led the group.

Nalani was understandably overcome with emotion.

And overjoyed to see all these sweet kids.

She has a son in Mirah’s second grade class, and a son in the 4th grade at cascade. So all the second graders and all the fourth graders came.

They sung several songs, including “Jingle Bells…

and “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”

 

 

Boyces thanked the kids for coming, and shared his love for them and of course the Young family.

He asked for anyone who had been helped by Nalani to raise their hands. Her blanket was presented to her.

Then the kids played Silent Night.

 

It was a very emotional day.
