A few weeks ago Krysta and I were at Great Steak in between loads of laundry. We had amazing steak and everything sandwiches, (I may have snuck a brownie in there) when we found some coupons for a new corn maze in Provo. The closest corn maze I knew about was at Thanksgiving point and it is really expensive. We were really excited.

We planned the date, and unfortunately Krysta couldn’t make it. BUT Betsy came with the boys. Nick was out holding a boom mic injuring his shoulder all day, poor guy, so he didn’t come. 

Mirah was ready…and a little sleepy.

The place is called McCoard’s Mystery Corn Maze.

It was out by the Provo air port at the McCoard’s garden center.

It was so cool. The green house was full of activities for kids and adults a like…Asher found one:

Shooting range.

Betsy keeping the boys close by. Nick was nervous about the boys getting snached…which was totally not a worry! The place was SUPER family friendly, and super safe. So his fears were unnecessary.

Then there was the duck race!

To win the race you have to pump water the fastest and get your duckie to the end first.

The boys just wanted to play in the water and with the ducks.

They probably could have stayed there all day.
 

BUT, the grown ups wanted to play!

We went a few rounds. Karl won every round, and Betsy and I got second or third each time.

Next to the spooky bean bag toss…they boys had a harder time with this one. They mostly wanted to look through the holes in the board.

They didn’t get what the point was.

I guess we didn’t really get it either.

Then there was the corn cannon.

It was run by this awesome kid who gave us a quick demo.
It turned out that the boys were mostly just interested in the little corn cobs.


We went ahead and had them jump on the next attraction:
The train.
I think that Asher was a little anxious…and Judah just wanted to climb around.

They were pulled behind a tractor. They did great. And since they were the only kids on the ride at that  time, the driver was so nice and agreed to go slowly enough for Betsy to walk along side of them.

So Karl and I headed back to the cannon.
He loaded it up for us…

Then we headed over to the maze!

We headed into the kids maze.

The boys LOVED it. Judah was having a ball collecting the little corn cobs from the ground.

Asher loved to run!

We had a great time together!

Karl and I did the adventure maze too. It was so fun!
There were pictures like this one all around the maze with clues about who killed the farmer.

We used the book pictured below to gather clues, I won’t give it away who did it with what or where, but it was a shocker!!!

A view of the maze….The corn was HIGH. The path was well defined, and nice and flat. I think if we had a stoller, we would have had no problem.

We didn’t make it to the big maze…next time. I will bring water, better shoes and a hat!
