After the heart ache of our lost puppy Nacho, we were ready to get a doggy to heal our hearts. Karl found the litter this time. A woman out of Camas. She was driving around Utah county that day with her puppies, and we met her at a church off of 1600 north. She arrived in her pick up truck, and she opened the door and out pored a fountain of puppies.
They were all so cute, and TINY. This one was so sweet and cute, I loved her, but Karl was worried that Lucas would immediately crush her.
As we played with this tiny lady, a much bigger, cutie came romping up to us. But this little lady was so cute…
Well so was this little girl. She was also very tiny, but was the largest of her littler. She was still so tiny. Look at that pink nose. She is as sweet as can be, and she looked like a Luna, which is the name that we picked for a puppy if we had a girl.
She was scrappy, and sweet, and kept pouncing on little pine cones and leaves which just won Karl’s heart over.
I’m an easy touch, so as long as Karl was into it, so was I!
The breeder came over and started the Adoption paperwork. Her name was Natalie, or Natasha or Anastasia or something. She was great. She put Luna’s ID chip in and gave her the first round of her Puppy vaccines.
AND making home we had the last group of our Quarantine Team, the Whitmores!
They were thrilled to meet our new puppy and the kids were shocked and awed and in love.
I think that the kids loved her so much, but no one more than Karl.
Our first photo with the family’s newest member.
Luna Pipkin Hite
Don’t worry, I got my loves in too. That first day she was so sleepy. She cuddled with me while I read to the kids.
BUT as soon as I wanted go to sleep, little Luna got lonesome in her crate. And even though we had her in our room, she was sad to be all alone in there. Karl’s sweet heart couldn’t stand her sad cries so he slept on the floor with her through the night. He took her out for potty several times.
