So, Wednesday was my baby shower!!!
My amazing best buddy, Krysta, threw me a shower! She didn’t do it all on her own.
She was joined by the lovely and amazing Shari Englhardt, as well as the beautiful and talented Alicia Walters. I want to start by thanking these lovely ladies, who I am so blessed to call my friends. Thank you so much for this overwhelming out pouring of love.
Over the past couple of weeks, Krysta has been so busy getting things ready. She wouldn’t let me help at all! She would get really stern with me if I even asked. 🙂
The shower was held at Sheri’s house.
Her daughter had some of the same colors in her wedding, so we had some perfect decorations for this party.
Here is the table. Shari insited that there was a least a little pink.
Food: Chicken salad sandwiches, cookies, (not pictured) buttercream brownies, mini chocolate cupcakes, deviled eggs, veggies.
Robots!!!
Sweet chinese lanterns!
Oh did I mention that Karen was there??
Other attendees:
Jessie Deshazer, Susie Englund, Kelly Pipkin
The party was getting started, and they sat me in a comfy chair. It was a little embarrassing, but really fun.
Then the cames began:
Here is Alicia, holding a tray full of the first game:
So everyone sits in circle, and is given a pen and a piece of paper
Then you take a warm diaper with a melted chocolate bar in it, and write down what we thought it was:
Kelly especially loved this game.
Donny Godfry and Rachel Rice, with Bridger and Karen, trying to work it out.
Jennifer Ricks and Brittany Russon did their best as well.
Krysta tallied up how we did, and our winner was Mejken Core! With 6/8 correct!
The next game smelled a little grose to me, so I did not play…:)
Alicia, excited to get started!
It was a game where you tried to guess what baby food you were eating:
The grossest one: Turkey and Brown gravy! Ack!
Jessica Deshazer, who is due in August, looking amazing!!
Nancy Lagerberg, couldn’t try them all because of an allergy.
Baby Seth Core, didn’t play either, he just looked amazing.
Brittany Russon won this one.
They also played a game with yarn, where they guessed how big my belly is with yarn. Some people were really close, others really off. Kelly’s strategy was to make it as small as possible, to make me feel good. 🙂
Then came the gifts!
Everyone was SO gernerous, and everything I got was amazing! I am not returning a thing!
Sparkly baby TOMS
A build a bear of baby stuff!
A new beautiful white dress for my little girl from my mom.
A hand made baby quilt, with sleeping babies on it.
Shari made it:
She found the fabric on the internet and bought it, and used it especially.
It was so wonderful.
I really had so much fun!
Thank you to all of the ladies that came and were so generous!
