Valentines Day!!!
The week leading up to the holiday was filled with servral projects. Chinese new year was also this week this year. BUT also, we needed to get Mirah’s new Valentines box made. She had been using the same box since preschool, so it was time to make something a little nicer, and a little more Mirah. We started with a trash bag box, and ended this this:
She was a part of every decision, but as you can guess, I did most of the heavy lifting. My true stroke of genius came when I thought of using a paper heart decoration as the main. I am really happy with hot it turned out.
With our new craft closet, Mirah has been excitedly making things as the holiday approached, including but not limited to these:
This lovely sign.
This Valentine’s Day book, called Valentine’s day.
Lucas’s teacher SPECIFICALLY asked for us NOT to make a box for school, the would be making them this year. I didn’t see it until I picked him up at the end of the day!
It’s a Teddy Bear, hugging a brown paper bag, full of Valentines.
He made it, and it turned out really super cute.
We did an after school photo shoot.
With our Valentines boxes.
Oh my goodness I love these kids
We went into Mirahs room on the floor and dumped out the goods.
The valentines were funny this year. From a face mask Valentine, to a personalized one that was so cute, (which is funny becasue this girl is a bully-telling me again that you never know where kids come from), to the typical stuff like skittles and gummy bears.
They both got a pretty great haul.
Karl and I sent Heart A Grams to both of the kids:
And Lucas wrote this for me and Karl.
These were the SCHOOL valentines Day celebrations. We were going to Celebrate on Sunday, February 14th as a family.
