“Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day,
I have a beautiful feeling everything’s going my way!”
Don’t you love the fourth of July?
The day was overcast, and humid.
We walked out, babies in tow, to busy streets and side walks too.
Here is Betsy the great with her cute little kidos in their double wide stoller.
We walked the three blocks to center street.
Karl found a Jurassic sized Dandelion!
The Reddoch family!
It was nearly noon when we arrived, and none of us but the babies had eaten anything. So we went to the food first!
Nick got blue bunned sliders and Fries.
I got a Navajo taco, YUM!
Karl here with a funnel cake and Diet Dr. Pepper. He ended up with some tacos and elote.
Betsy with noodles!
Hite Kids RULE!
Seriously Nick and Betsy are the best parents.
Among other things, she is so multi talented. Here she is eating, and feeding at the same time!
Karl with baby Judah!
This guy was a Jew for Jesus.
People couldn’t get enough of the twins. We could hardly walk through the crowed bazaar with out people stopping us and asking about them.
A golden find!
I wore the shirt my husband made me a few years ago. It was inspired by an encounter from this very event.
We went to the colonial days near the old printing press. I put Karl in the stocks!
Betsy found a gun.
Karl found a Cannon.
I bought a signed copy of an awesome Print of Lincoln. It is called, “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory” by Lynne Milliman Weidinger. Here we are:
And Nick found out that he looks like and awesome conquistador.
We headed back to the house for some well earned rest.
We hung out while the boys napped. We watched some of Nicks work from grad school and caught up. Soon enough the boys were up and we were hungry!
We walked over to one of our favorite Provo places, Slab Pizza.
JUDAH!
Betsy and baby Asher!
More of us and the Boys!
Me, Karl, Bests, and Nickers.
Asher baby!
One last shot as we started our walk home.
They fell asleep on the way.
We set off some fire works, mostly sparklers, as we set off on our last adventure of the trip.
Betsy was like a little kid.
One last Provo stop:
Nick got what was probably the biggest ice cream sunday of the world.
One of the group.
The Reddoch family was off, after a great weekend together. We love you guys so much!
This is what we found when we got home:
Friends and neighbors out on the street lighting stuff on FIRE! Karl was in heaven!
Me and Karen!
New friends from the ward, the Summers family:
In finale of a great long week end, Adam did some fire dancing for us:
Karl and even got a bit in:
Here’s to Independence!
I LOVE 4th of July in Provo! Fireworks this year were soo sooo soooooooo much fun. We are sad we missed so much baby time but at least we get to live thru the pictures!
