So as I said we have been sick this week, so we haven’g gotten anything done at all so we had so much to do on Saturday. We got up early. We went over and got the oil changed, went to Babies R Us to grab a baby gift and did the laundry all before 10:30.
At 10:30 we had a baby shower for my friend Julia from work. That’s Mamie in the background.
It was a fun shower because the boys were invited too.
Claire and Scott were there.
Randy and Jennifer too. They just won a game, they are holding up their prize and winning game card.
It is worth mentioning here that Randy and Karl were mission companions and that Randy was the only one of Karl’s companions at our wedding.
Jeshua and Julia. They are having a girl, whom they are naming Lelani.
We left the baby shower, picked up and folded out laundry then ran to Heritage of all places. Why you might ask.
No not to get a cat, I wish. This is one of the Heritage barn cats. Her name is Blue.
Another clue:
Me in muddy boots.
Karl putting on some ugly boots.
The Heritage Preforming Arts Center, next to the stables…
Karl holding some hay, to feed…
The cat? No!
One more hint:
We had to wear helmets.
That’s right, we were out to ride horses!
I have worked at Heritage for almost 3 year and I just found out that all this time I could have come out and ridden any weekend I wanted to!
Ok, this is the horse I road, Star. He is REALLY old, over 20. He is slow are they come which was good for me because it had been such a long time since I had been on a horse.
Karl road Cash. He is a sweet strong horse. Next to him is Chad. He is a friend from work too. He works out in the equestrian program and was the one who told me about this.
My stirrups we a little short it turns out. I didn’t realize until I saw this picture.
The day was lovely! There was another couple out there really getting into it, while Karl and I just kind of trotted around in circles.
Karl and Cash.
Cash biting Star.
Karl was really getting a hang of it by the end.
Here he is going into a trot.
After an hour or so we headed out thanking Chad for his help.
We left, and decided that we wanted to go and see a movie. We picked the Adustment Bureau.
I really liked it. It was kind of Si Fi and a little religious. It was contrary to my personal beliefs on choice, but it was a fun ride and an interesting idea.
We went home, put away our laundry, showered and headed over to our friends Alicia and Adam’s house. It was Adam’s birthday! We went out to Happy Sumo and them frozen Yogurt. I forgot my camera! Which was dumb of me, but there would have been some funny pictures of us there. We order tons of Sushi and had tons of fun. We got this one roll called the Crispy Bacon. It had bacon and green onions, and there was a maple dipping sauce. It was seriously hilarious. We went to our favorite place for dessert: Yo Zone. After eating to our hearts content, we went back to Alicia and Adam’s placer to play the PS3 Alicia bought for his birthday. We spent the rest of the evening playing little big Planet and laughing.
I crashed at 11. It was a great weekend. I am so blessed with so many friends and loved ones who enrich my life. Especially, Karl. He is the best of mates, my companion in all our adventures.
What do you do with all of your spare time. Ha Ha
