On Saturday, we got up late, check out of our hotel, and headed south to see my parents.
We were going to meet at the San Diego temple:
We met up, and headed over to Mission Beach.
Mom and Dad:
Mom and Dad:
Me Mom and Dad:
Karl and Me
Fun fact:
My dad had never been to Mission Beach before that day!
My dad had never been to Mission Beach before that day!
He looks like he belongs.
I was just excited to be in the water!
Not as much as Karl however:
Hooray again!
We played around, hunted for sea shells, and caught up.
Mom and dad:
One more shot before we left the beach.
Some leftover part of a sea monster:
Mom got one more look before we left.
We took a look around at the shops there, bought some souvenirs.
For lunch we headed out to this place:
You read correctly, it is a Luchador themed taco shop. We heard about it on the food network and planned on visiting it while we were in San Diego.
The windows, walls, seats and floors were covered in memorabilia.
NACHO!!!
It was overwhelmingly beautiful.
Christmas card!
A wall sized photo
Yowza!
The menu:
One of my mom’s favorite gags:
Elote in a cup!
All of us were thrilled with our meals:
Especially dad.
Both Karl and I got the Surf and Turf burrito.
It was huge!
We were full and happy!
We said farewell to Mom and Dad, sadly, the time went too fast!
I love you guys! Thanks for a fun day!
