At Christmas time we do all we can to remember our Savior, Jesus Christ. As a part of our celebration this year we wanted to attend a live nativity. A friend from our ward told us about one that was supposed to be really cool. It ended up being truly phenomenal. For anyone who is at all interested maybe for next year, it is here in Provo. Here is the link:
Where is Karl?
It was Thursday December 23rd, and he was in a tent that is in Bethlehem of course!
They had bread makers giving bread and jams.
There were Roman soldier colecting “taxes” (really donations.)
There was a Hebrew station.
The wise men were there.
There was even a father and daughter working in copper!! It was really cool, there were tons more places that I didn’t even get a chance to see.
Suddenly Mary and Joseph arrived to try and find a space in the inn, which was were we all were. There was no room, so the innkeeper and his wife showed them to the stable. It must be said here that Mary was riding a real donkey, and looked very uncomfortable.
These people handed me a cup of hot lentil soup on my way out, and Karl got some lamb.
Here is our friend Camilla, who told us about the event. We all got little candle cups to take outside and see the rest of the show.
The shepherds in the field.
This part was so cool, I guy, I mean an angel, appeared on top of the roof. It was really impressive.
We surrounded by little kids and families. It was really fun.
There was a beautiful performance of Silent night, then we were all able to pass the manger scene on our way out.
If you see one live manger scene in Provo, this should be the one. It was a great way to start our Christmas celebration.
That looks amazing! What a great thing to be able to attend. PS I love your hat Allie
