Overnight Date!!!

I have been wanting to do an overnight date night for years! The last time Karl and I were able to do something like this was PRE pandemic. TOOOOOOO long. I think the last time we were alone together away from home may have been…Paris. Wow. I asked Karl back in November to do this. He said that if I could arrange the babysitter, he would do the rest. Flash forward to the beginning of February. And Karl had just been too busy to plan anything. SO, I went to work, and found this amazing trailer for a show at the Hale:

A water show! Yes! I convinced Karl to want to go with me, and I bought the tickets. Then Karl did the rest. He made us a reservation at Ruth’s Chris, and got a hotel in the city for the night.

We got to the theater about 20 minutes before shoe time. Parked, picked up our tickets at will call, and were seated. The show was fun. The performances were good, and the whole thing was a spectacle. The thing that kind of ruined the night, was the TERRIBLE family that was sitting next to us. They couldn’t sit still, and were on their phones, and were taking up more than their own seats. IT WAS TERRIBLE.

After the show, we checked into our hotel, and headed to dinner. We had a great meal. My wedge salad was the best bite of the night. BUT we got mushrooms, and a huge baked potato and a ribeye and a fillet. It was all cooked to perfection and SO good. On our way out we bumped into Natalie Hansink! It was so good to see her.
