This year I am trying to keep it light. We didn’t celebrate Abe’s 209th birthday. We didn’t Celebrate Mardi Gras.

And with mom in town, Valentines Day just kind of snuck up on me. I did however find an AMAZING orchid for Karl. It was ENORMOUS, and beautiful and he LOVED them.

We brought Belle her gift from mom. The kids were really excited to visit her and Ralphie.

THEN after my presidency meeting on Tuesday and getting all of their help and opinions I came home and started making Mirah’s Valentines box. My friend Sydney gave me a bunch of supplies and ideas. AND really made me feel like I knew what to do. I got home and found and empty apple sauce box.

As in most projects I start, Karl watches me, get frustrated and ends up taking over.

We got it wrapped in pink construction paper.

And first thing in the morning, Mirah spent time to decorating her box.

She did great.
