Northern Bound Sea Day, Pool Time, WHALES!!!

After a delicious and enormous brunch, we were ready to play off some of those calories.  SO we suited up. By which I mean we got into our swim suits, determined to find some wet and wild fun!

Even though we were all sun burned, we knew snow was waiting for us at home, so we were all ready for more fun in the sun. We got out to the deck, and the kids went nuts. We are FREE!!! There were lots of other people who had the same idea.

The wind was picking up and we were getting cold, so we went downstairs to get into one of the indoor hot tubs. It wasn’t hot at all. But it was fun!

Well, it was a whole day at sea, and Karl and I were ready to have some alone time, and the kids were ready for some structured activities. SO we checked out the days schedule. THE EGG DROP CONTEST. We were stoked. So while Karl dropped the kids off at Camp Ocean, I got us all signed up for the contest.

Karl and I were going to have a date that night, and it was cruise elegance! We had a fun day ahead of us!

As we got to the Serenity deck, we were passing Cabo San Lucas.

We found two chairs next to eachother and laid down for a rest.

I was just about asleep, and I hears a ruckus. There were whales to the east of the ship.

Look I know that this picture isn’t great. But it was incredible to witness these HUGE animals in action. They jumped out of the water over and over again.

I took SO many pictures. Here is a gif that good made for me.

That is a humpback whale, JUMPING out of the water.

This is a different whale blowing air out of it’s spout.

They jumped over and over again. It was so exciting.

There was another one who kept flapping it’s tail out of the water. It was truly magical.

After we had passed this pod of whales Karl and I were able to relax a bit. We listened to a pod cast together, held hands, and just  relaxed.

When lunch time came we grabbed the kids from Camp Ocean, and got some lunch. I stood in line for what seemed like an HOUR to get some very mediocre Monglian noodles.

The kids were still beat from the day before. They laid down in bed together and had some tablet time together after lunch. We all fell asleep.
