We woke the boys up to tell them all about Seuss a palooza. BUT also to remind them that it was time to make our plan for the egg drop.
Karl was in his element. This was his JAM.
Our system was simple. A soda bottle with the top cut off. Toilet paper. A grocery sack, tied onto the bottle with re-purposed hair tie ropes.
We took the glass elevator down to the atrium when it was time to go down and get our egg.
Waiting to get our egg.
While we waited, we read over the rules and instructions again.
The friendly carnival staff arrived to give everyone their eggs.
Got it. It was precious cargo. If we broke it now, they wouldn’t give us another one.
Before wrapping it up, the kids gave it a kiss of good luck.
Karl wrapped up the egg in toilet paper, put it in the bottle, and we were set. Our final product.
Karl and Mirah took the elevator up 2 floors to drop the egg.
Lucas and I snuggled up and got ready for the action.
Karl and Mirah’s view from the 5th floor. We were on the 3rd floor. Can you spot us…
There we are!
Soon enough it was our turn for the drop!
Our view of them getting ready to go.
A video
MarQ called Karl, Charles. So that is why I am cheering for Charles. Also, you may notice that Karl named our team/ contraption “Egg Drop Soup” which I love and think is the cutest thing ever.
Amazing.
The egg survived!! WE DID IT!
We were each given a “Boat on a Rope” medal.
Mirah LOVES her medal.
We were all very proud!
While in the area we went to check out our pictures. 20 bucks a piece.
And then decided to take some pictures of our own.
We went to the Lido to get some snacks and admire the view and our medals.
