There is a lot of emotion around Valentines. Love for my Lover-Karl. We got together around Valentines day. Love for my kiddos, Mirah and Lucas. And there is a lot of love to give.
Lucas had a great time a preschool, the class before, when he made this hear head band.
This freaking kid!
The morning of Valentines day was exciting and a flurry of activity and getting ready. The kids were getting their boxes all ready, and making sure they had their valentines ready.
We gave them some candy and love to begin their day.
Karl gave the kids heart shaped pan cakes. (And me too) If you look closely he even monogrammed them for us.
Breakfast time!
Green door Photo shoot time!
I never get tired of looking at these sweet smiling faces!
Mirah made ME some valentines too!
Lucas and his valentine box after preschool. (Full of little notes and candy from his classmates)
When he and I got home, Karl had left us a gift! The orange roses are for me, and the tulips are for the kids.
For his gift, I made his “a delicious sandwich.” He is a simple man, he didn’t want a gift, he didn’t want a big fuss, this fit the ticket.
Our cards from Grandma came.
Once Mirah was out of school, we met up with the Roberts at Classic Skating for Dollar Skating!
The kids had had a big day, and were pooping out. But we did get to scoot around with friends.
Lucas was just happy to be with his buddy Dane.
Back at the house, we were hosting dinner!
We had the Reddoch’s and the Whitmores over. Betsy made tomato soup, Krysta made cheddar broccoli, and I made Lipton noodle.
We had grilled cheese and heart shaped croutons with a chocolate covered strawberry for everyone.
After dinner was cleaned up, we decorated heart cookies!
The kids all seemed to enjoy it.
They used a lot of frosting and sprinkles.
Asher’s on the left, Luke’s on the right.
I bought an ice cream cake…but we didn’t end up eating it, because we were all so full!
Everyone said goodnight…
We did too. What a day!!
