Saturday was a crazy day. I was up early and off to a baptism for a boy in our ward. THEN once I was home, there was a little house work to do.
THEN we headed out to Midway, to celebrate Reese’s 4th Birthday!
He picked his outfit himself. He loves to wear bow ties right now.
Mirah had cutely made a card for him.
The cool park was the main event, besides the awesome strawberry cake.
It was a Batman themed party, so the Pipkin family was dressed on theme.
Reese himself picked the candles. His mom asked him if he wanted four candles, or a number four candle. He asked for FOUR number 4 candles.
So he got it.
Sweet Kelly, she made the cake herself, and the frosting too. She told us the recipe: Butter, heavy whipping cream, LOADS of powdered sugar, and strawberry jam.
Reese was being so funny about pictures at this moment.
He was making his eyes look like that BECAUSE I was saying, Reese, smile!
I will say though, that he was genuinely excited about the cake.
Blowing out the candles is tricky business.
Cammy loves his boys so much. Reese was just too busy feeling/being silly to take this picture too seriously.
Reese! Smile!
Nope.
Other kids included a few neighbors and our kids. Very low key. Perfect. Just such a nice get together.
None of these kids would look at me either. I think I was turning fully into a ghost.
The cake was delicious.
“Reese smile!”
CAKE!!
Sweet Ash wasn’t into the cake.
This little baby!! What a precious perfect face!
The kids had a blast playing.
Back at the Pipkin’s place we had cookies and opened gifts!
Kelly’s mom had ordered these radical cookies.
Just a few more gifts for the boy!
Ashy.
Darth Vadar PJ’s!
Batman books!
Mirah even got a gift! For her birthday.
Ash loves his mom.
