We had a few hours before the family picrtures on Friday morning. We were up, bathed, and mostly ready, and we wanted to do something fun. So we went to the Portland Museum of Art.
We went in, and straight to the new 1900 Paris exhibit.
As a part of the exhibit there was a little french cafe next to the “Eiffel tower”
We got a chocolate croissant and an almond macaroon.
The perminant exhibusts were pretty great. The even hand an amazing Albert Bierstadt called Mount Hood.
Turns out I really love landscape paintings.
And sculpture.
There was a wing of Japanese kabuki art.
Very expressive.
There was also a pretty incredible ceramic exhibit.
Then the Native American unit.
Incredible pieces.
Lots of expressions.
There was also a cool modern Native American art area of the wing.
There was this incredible wall of art. We stood and looked at it forever.
Fun morning, just the fantastic four.
