Mom and Dad’s Surprise Visit

On Monday morning Mom and Dad called and said that they were on their way to visit! We were all of course thrilled. They popped in as I was getting home from the viewing of a friend who passed in our ward. We visited, and I put the kids to bed, and followed them to their house. Krystin was home, and we all sat together and chatted. It was really nice. Dad was the first one to tap out and go to bed. We all agreed it was for the best, it was after 10. Mom and I set plans to go to Denny’s for breakfast. The kids were thrilled.

Mom and Dad took the kids while I went to Bryan Kennedy’s funeral. It was a little tender mercy for me honestly.

We had dinner together that night, Karl made delicious Garlic Chicken with Asparagus and Salad.

The next day, mom went with me to the freedom festival, after some plans with Kelly fell through due to sick kids. We had a nice time walking around for a little while. We got fresh fruit juice, and I bought mom and dress for her birthday.

It was nice and natural to have them with us this time. It was a nice little sneak peak into what things might be like when they move up here permanently. They were here until Sunday, so more to come on their visit.
