Bright and early the next morning! The room was old and dark. Comfy, with a bathroom twice the size of the one we left in paris, and 3 times the size of the one we would get to later that night. The light was too bright.
We both got ready, as I had a fun look out our window.
It was so enchanting.
We went down to breakfast and look what they had??!!! Choco Pix!!! Chocolate scoops of deliciousnness. (It was a cereal a ate LOTS of in Albania, especially with Sarah Smallcomb.)
The rest of it was pretty great too.
After breakfast, we went on an early morning wander through all the pokey streets and shops of the village.
It was a wet cool morning.
We found an awesome little church.
Then got tickets for the Medieval museum. A random set of random curiosities and from who knows really when.
We got access to this beautiful little courtyard.
And the dungeons.
Where supposedly they had kept prisoners at one point in the islands history. Down there was also this scary crazy wax figurine thing.
After the Louvre and Versailles, it was just, well, pretty crappy.
Next we visited the resident “Knight’s” home.
He apparently had taken a vow of chastity, so his wife had to wear this little number:
Yikes.
This was the home they shared.
Back down to the shops.
Down to the beach.
Where Karl flew his kite.
Farewell!!!
We made it down to the visitors center, and got what was called, the “Mega” Pain Au Choclat
The place was so funny. It had cows for some reason.
Spider cow!!
Our bus was to leave at 2:00, we were on it at 1:55, and we headed back to Paris. We sat and held hands and listened to podcasts together.
It was pretty wonderful, one of the best parts of the whole trip honestly.
We drove through little villages, and passed trees full of mistletoe.
It was dinner time once we were back in the city. We got checked into our new hotel, more on that later, and found a place to eat in our new neighborhood.
We wanted to see what french Mexican food was like. So we went to a place called Bocamexa.
It was pretty good.
Karl was stil hungry, so we stopped and he got another donner.
We scouted out other places to eat.
Crepes and tacos!
We even found a grocery store that sold a Milka advent calendar.
Piled into the TINY elevator, and got to our tiny room. Then ate our snacks and went to bed..
