So here is an update on the kids right now.
Mirah is 7, getting ready to get baptized and SO excited to do so. She has had a lot going on right now. On top of the DRAMA of being in school with lots of kids who are lots of D-R-A-M-A we also just got a pre-diagnosis of Raynaud’s Syndrome.
We took her in due to her ALWAYS cold hands, but also the colors her hands turn when they are cold, and the fact that they NEVER get warm. It started to become concerning. My sister and my Aunt both have the syndrome, but it is rare, and she is too you still we took her in.
The doctor did a ice bath test. Which is just want it sounds like, they made her put her hands in the ice bath for a minute. I mean yikes:
She sent us in for blood test, and one of the three tests came back as abnormal. SO, we are going to a Pediatric Rhumatologist next month for further testing. Mirah has been high anxiety since then. She has a lot on her sweet mind.
There are really goo things though too. Like the kids the other morning under Mirah’s desk, watching her tablet while each wearing a mermaid tail.
We finished reading the Hobbit, and have gone right into Harry Potter!!! I am so excited, as are the kids. We are reading the illustrated version.
The next night I found them waiting for me in my bed, ready to read.
Karl was out of town this week, in Seattle. So I was on my own with these faces. We went out for dinner at Chic Fillet and they got ice cream instead of a toy.
Lucas has started producing drawing of figures for us. Here is one of a man in jeans. I think it is supposed to be him. Blue pants, orange shirt, his favorite.
The kids are obsessed with oral hygiene these days. They need their own bathroom, too much fighting over the space right now.
Sunday I came down from my nap to find Mirah playing the piano and Lucas dancing around to a song that she wrote about him called Racing Boy.
I think it tells a lot about her feelings about her friends right now.
Lucas is my snuggle bug. He just wants to be right on me, anytime I am in my bed.
Mirah’s Chinese is getting better and better. Here some of her writing from class this week.
Her math is improving too! We are so proud of all of her wonderful progress.
She is on level 15 of Lexia, only three levels to go!
Love these kids so much. They are just getting so grown up!
