I love this little guys. It is fun to have kids a little older than Mirah around to get me in a frame of mind for when Mirah is that age. These cute little kids hit another exiting bench mark. They turned two. Their birthday was actually on Sunday, but since their loving and wonderful mother was out of town on their birthday we celebrated when she got home. We had a pizza partay!
I think that this was Mirah’s first birthday party. I think. Since Betsy and Nick had their brithdays before she was born, and all of the Whitmores were out of town on their birthdays…wait, no. Zac Whitmore’s. We went to Zac’s birthday party in June of last year when she was just a month old. But she stayed covered in her car seat the whole time.
Any way. Karl and Mirah. Her eyes are looking bluish gray to me these days.
We all caught up. Belle told everyone about her mission call. Betsy told us all about her business trip and the award she was given by her company. Nick told us about his first day as a college professor. It was so nice to get together.
We talked to them a little before they ate:
We had Two Jacks pizza. Delicious cheese bread…yum.
Then Betsy had a stroke of genius. Instead of buying one big cake she bought five small cakes at 2 bucks each. Between 5 adults and two hungry toddlers, we didn’t finish it. She got extra frosting from the bakers to make two small cakes for each of the boys.
Here we are singing.
Oh man, watch Asher. Then see Judah. So Cute!
Silly Karl! Poor Judah couldn’t get it on his own. Karl blew it out from across the table.
Asher wasn’t burnt, if he was he totally forgot about it once half of the cake was set in front of him.
They each had different methods to get to the cake.
Asher took a hands on approach.
Judah however, used a grown ups fork, SO cutely.
But he eventually gave up and used his hands too. Although he did switch back and forth a little bit.
I am so glad Mirah is still to young for cake. Although this didn’t stop Karl from giving her Pizza bread and frosting. Mirah…liked it?
Chelsea and Mirah.
I think you put the wrong video? But it's still cute! Thanks for posting this adorableness! Happy birthday to my favorite two-year-olds!
Betsy! I did put the wrong video. It takes forever to format, resize and fix these videos but I am working on it, so hopefully by the time you read this, you will see that correct video, in addition to the cute one of them pointing to each other.
