Honestly, I am so glad that we have all of these holidays to enjoy. Yes, St. Patricks Day is an American Drinking Holiday. BUT it is also an American kid holiday. And again this year, we set our little trap for our leprechaun.
It was Karl’s guiniuess idea to make it a toilet paper factory. For future readers, there is a toilet paper shortage right now. People are being crazy loading up an unnecessary amount in their homes. Our neighbor is rumored to have 40 boxes of TP.
It was early the next morning that I accidentally took a screen shot of my phone while trying to turn off the alarm. The kids were NOT letting me sleep in.
Mirah have left me a little present she made while waiting for me to wake up.
We were all quickly dressed.
And interesed in weather or not the Leprichaun had been caught.
He left us a note, and coins.
Lots of coins. | |
Everyone was in a fun mood that morning. It was something nice to look forward to.
We had green eggs and ham for breakfast.
The day was normal. School. Etc.
For dinner an all green and Irish dinner.
I made cheesey potato casserole-like gold coins I guess, and we even had some party drink with dinner. |
After dinner we decorated shamrock cookies. (I bought them at the store during a visit yesterday.)
As perusual, I didn’t have one cookie. And Karl had too many.
Mirah commented today that our holidays are mostly just eating specail meals.
You got me.
