Against all odds, we were able to participate in one of our favorite late summer/early fall activities: PICKING RASPBERRIES! Mom found us a new place, it’s very near where they live in Pleasant Grove, and there were loads of berries, and nearly no one else there! Mom and Dad met us out there. And I mean, look at that view!
We didn’t even get our baskets, and Mirah already had picked a raspberry.
Mom and Dad, ready to go picking!
10 Minutes in, and we were all elbows deep in the berries.
Mirah was a PRO! She had a bucket full, mostly because all four of us were picking and putting into the bucket, but also she was very good.
While we all chatted and picked, dad hung back and got to work.
Lucas.
Mom was having a ball. She was so happy to be out with the kids and doing something. We had been to the berry patch in Mapleton before, but this was her thing, she found the place, made the appointment, and got us all there.
Mirah ended up getting her own bucket…for berries. She FILLED it.
Babies.
Berry babies.
A real family photo!
We had a really nice time. We are looking our for more of this kind of thing. It’s tough these days, you know?
