So we spent a week getting ready for the Reddoch family to come and visit! Cleaning, organizing, sanitizing. It wasn’t enough. But we will get to all of that later. Early Thursday morning, right after Karl and I left for work, Nick, Betsy, and the Boys arrived at our house. All day I was tortured by amazing pictures of the boys sent to me by Betsy, of them playing and exploring, and being amazing. It took everything I had to wait to come home until 1:30.
Karl came home with me, and almost immediately after saying hello, Betsy and Nick were off. They were in town checking out a house that they had put an offer on. I won’t go into all of that, that is their story to tell. I will tell the story of what we did while they were gone:
Asher drank some milk, gave me the smolder, and tried to plan his escape.
Judah snacked on the remote, gave me the smolder, a drooled a little while he watched me hold the remote.
I did tons of cleaning to prepare for two toddlers arrival, but I should have done more baby proofing! They were into EVERYTHING!
This was fine though, they are so small, they are easy to grab.
We also played with hats.
The story with the blue hats is, Karl was leaving to go back to work, so I decided to take the boys to the park. I couldn’t make myself take them outside in the sun with out some kind of protection. I didn’t know about putting sun screen on them, so I dug around their stuff and found two hats. They were rain hats.
Karl helped me get them into the stroller, and then left me, ALONE. Everything changed.
The boys were very cute, and amazing…
Then they started to climb on stuff.
And separate from each other, and run in opposite directions. They were being so cute. Right as we got out of the stroller, they both ran straight at a girl laying on a blanket reading her Scriptures. At first she was like, “oh how cute,” then they were on her blanket, then on her. I grabbed them as quickly as I could, with a sting of “I’ m sorries.” Asher kept making this noise that was upsetting other little kids. And Judah couldn’t get enough of this little boy, but kept falling and getting covered in wood chips. After about a half an hour, I was TAPPED out. We were back into the stoller. Which they were both really happy about:
I wasn’t ready to go inside yet, so we played in the grassy area outside of our apartment. Which was small, fenced in, and had age appropriate toys. It was way better.
We went back home, and Betsy and Nick came home. We had them go down for their naps and caught up. It is so exciting to have Betsy and Nick potentially living up here near us!
Asher when he woke up:
They played for a while:
Asher was getting tired of the flash, so he started slowly backing out of the room:
It was amazing.
Also something amazing, all of the baby stuff that Betsy brought me!
A car seat, swaddling blankets, TONS of amazing cloths, bottles, nipples, a bottle warmer, a microwave sanitizer, toys, did I mention cloths?
Among the things that she brought. Some tiny baby jeans. They used to fit Judah, but not anymore…
Another thing that Bets brought, a baby Bjorn, Judah kind of fit…
For dinner we went where we always go for our first night with Nitsy:
Great Steak.
Judah was really tired, he kept falling asleep while we were going into the restaurant.
We had cheese steak sandwiches, and shakes, and fries…and pictures of the babies.
Poor Asher was far away. But it was me and Judah and Karl and the other end…
I think he looks so happy because he loves me so much.
I fed him fries, and sandwich bits.
Which it turend out he ate very little of…
We watched orange County that night…right Nick?
Soooooo Cute!!!!!!!!
