Alight Y’all, we did it! We are under contract on this house!
Karl took these pictures a few days ago while we were on a walk. We practiced our walk to school, still only 6 minutes, but a much quieter and safer journey.
So the following are the pictures that the seller sent me, and some I have taken over our visits.
Outside of the house from probably September. Oh the difference that a dew months can make. We are planning to paint the house. Not sure how, but I am excited.
Front porch and entrance. We are planning to paint the door a fun color.
The front room.
Moving towards the south, there is a nice small office on the right side of the hall that faces the front of the house.
Next door over is the laundry/mud room/ main floor bathroom. This is also where you get from the garage to the house. I am really excited about this space. This is one of those things we don’t really have in our current house and will be a huge quality of like improvement. I wish the laundry was upstairs, but this is great. The cabinet above the dryer is actually a laundry shoot, that comes down from the upstairs kids bathroom.
The tall closet has shelves for shoes, which will get SUPER used by my messing family
3/4 Bathroom on the main level.
From there you walk into a little den with great natural light and even has a wood burning stove. Which then turns into the kitchen.
It has tile that surrounds the carpet in this area, which is fine, but I don’t understand the choice.
The island is quartsite and is nice and big. It’s large enough for all of us to sit and eat at, and we really like it.
There isn’t a pantry room, but there is LOADS of cupboard space. It also has a build in fridge and a double oven.
We don’t have a walk in pantry. BUT there is A TON of cupboard space.

The kitchen opened up to the covered deck outside, but more on that later.
The kitchen then opens up to the formal dining room. A really nice space with builtin shelving and sideboards.
Then back into the front room and up the stairs.
The first door on the left is the master, then the first door on the right is “Mirah’s” room. We are going to make some decoration changes, but Mirah is really excited about it.
Next door in the kids/ upstairs bathroom.
It’s a full bathroom, with vaulted ceilings with a skylight, double sink, and did I mention the laundry shoot?
Right across the hall is “Lucas’s” room.
We’re again planning on painting in here. It has a walk in closet. and a cut corner window.
Excited about a nice digital temperature control system.
Then back over to the master bedroom. We could have bought a house with a much lager room, BUT, this is a very nice room with LOTS of natural light, tons of closet space, and will be a huge upgrade from our current room.
There are a lot of pictures of the shower. I am SOOOOOOO excited to have my own bathroom that I only have to share with one person.
UHHHHH heck yeah. Mama’s got a jetted tub! With a TV. (We have a TV I will be putting in here.
One thing I wanted BADLY that we didn’t get in this house, is a toilet with a door. O’well, can’t win them all. A walk in closet.
Back in the hallway, all the way down on the left, is the LARGE gathering room!
This room is my FAVORITE part of the house. A large space where we can play games, hang out, and just have so much fun.
The bay window is basically my dream come true.

This space is HUGE! Well lite, lots of natural light, two big ceiling fans, a huge cuppords for storage of movies, games, books, blankets, and art supplies. We are going to LIVE in this room.
We’re going to put a table here for playing board games. We want to put a table for the kids to do homwork on the computers. We are going to make a reading corner, and it’s just going to be great.
The Big closets in the back of the room are going to get chalk a block full of boardgames, art supplies, toys, movies…
Then out to the backyard.
They are taking the trampoline, but we are buying the play-set off of them. There is plenty of room for our trampoline, AND to set up the pool in the summer time. The kids are THRILLED about this yard.
I’m just STOKED about this covered patio.
We’re hoping to put in a hot tub!!
That door down to the basement…is to the basement apartment where the sister Missionaries currently live.
What are the tail tell signs you can see of the Missionaries here?
It’s a missionary apartment, like FOR SURE. The only pictures I got where of the washer and dryer and bathroom. It’s okay. We’re planning on keeping then down there for now, but we will see.
The house has LOADS of fun things. Dimmers on all of the switches, a water softener, and lots of loving little touches made by people who lived in the house for 30 years and loved it.
I’m so excited for your new home! It is just beautiful! You didn’t tell me about the magical laundry Shute! No more dirty clothes on the floor, right? ?
So excited to see what you do with it!
