We are SO blessed during our quarantine. Not only is our COVID pretty mild, but that we have lots of people in our lives looking out for us.
We had dinners brought in as soon as anyone in the ward heard about it. Both Kristin Beckstead and Sydney Raynes. Sydney made us delicious chicken noodle soup, and Kristin brought enchiladas. Everything was SO delicious. My mom did a Costco run for us, and even picked up a prescription. So many people looking out for us, it makes me feel so blessed and loved.
My sister Maryn. She sent us a Crave box, full of treats to get us through days at home in bed. She also sent us a tie dye making kit.
My sister Chelsea has made sure to send us LOTS of pictures of Simon. They lift our spirits and make us laugh. I mean, look at those teeth???
Speaking of sharing that lifts our spirits: My sister in law Danielle, shared all of their experiences with Sawyer’s first deer hunt! Both Sawyer and Ethan shot a deer!!
We had so much fun sending polos back and forth asking questions, getting details, and hearing all about it. It was SO fun and distracting.
Love those guys.
Lucas has been taking every chance he can to re-wear his Harry Potter costume. You can see his cheeks are looking a little extra pink, even a fever can’t stop this guy.
The Whitmore’s were in town, and Karen made us these delicious chocolate cups with home made whip cream and sliced bananas.
While reading the kids their bedtime story this horrifying alert arrived:
It’s frutrating that despite our best efforts, we got COVID, and we get to be clumped into a group of idiots who went out on Halloween.
We have been watching through the Star Wars Saga and we are almost through. I started watching season two of The Mandolorian by myself, but then had to start over because everyone was suddenly interested.
At the beginning of the new week the kids were still in quarantine. Lucas’s class had gone virtual a week ago, and the kids were feeling okay, so we decided to give school at shot. The virtual learning has improved a ton since the spring. We do prefer school and are excited to get back, but this isn’t so terrible.
With no more new episodes of the Mandolorian left, we went back to watching Star Wars. I love episode 7.
On Wednesday night we went and got another round of COVID testing.
It was terrible. We waited 5 days this time, Lucas and Karl were invalid, and mine was negative. SOOOOOO frustrating.
In better news, Mirah got a science lesson from Danielle Kennedy! I told her about the purchase of the house near hers and that we would now be neighbors!
I told Lucas her daughter Jojo, who is in his Primary class, would be our new neighbor he danced with happiness.
Another day of school…
The kids have started doing lots to occupy their time. Mirah has started making card games. She begged us all to play one with her.
This one is called: Colors and Shapes. It has 12 different shapes and who knows how many colors. It doesn’t really work, but we had fun trying to play it together.
Quarentine has been long, and since we didn’t test positive, we will be home for another 2 WEEKS!
