Ice Castles 2020

This is our first outing to an event since March. BUT we figured, we’re healthy, we’re outside, we’ll be bundled up, and there probably won’t be that many people, right?

So off we drove to Midway to see the Ice Castles.

We stopped at Dairy Keen on our way, and had burgers, fries, and fried chicken for dinner.

We went last year with Mom and Dad, this year they stayed home.

We got there, and started taking pictures.

These things never disappoint. I wish I could have been there alone, so I could really have taken time to admire the beautiful mountains of ice.

Lucas is always the first one to find the little kids tunnel.

After some wondering around we got in a socially distant line for the slides.

The light tunnels are always my favorite.

We went on the big ice slide next, then the kids found a tunnel.

We cautiously had a stranger take our picture, and I did the same for them.

After we got home and put the kids to bed, I got right in the tub for a nice warm bath.
