The Thanksgiving Point Tulips Festival was one of the first things we missed last year during the pandemic. It was also officially my two weeks post second vaccine day, so it felt celebratory to go out in a big group vaccinated.
A new Lego sculpture:
Bright flowers and the colors of spring lift the spirits and make life seem livable.
There were so many different kids of flowers this year. It was so beautiful.
They had SO many variety of Renaculas, my favorite flowers. There was also this variety of vining snap dragons that I had never seen before. They were SO beautiful.
They have the “find the wooden shoe” thing again this year. And just like every year, we find the first few, then miss most of them.
A new installation this year: Chinese Lanterns. Very festive.
Our first real view of a field of tulips.
They have this little river of purple flowers every year, and it is always one of my favorites.
They found it and made me take their picture.
The big wooden shoes.
Another one!
Then there was #6 and I was out.
We of course took some time to check out the secret garden.
The kids asked for coins to make a wish in the pond. Mirah took it very seriously.
We made it to the Italian Garden.
And the umbrellas.
We spend time in the Light of the World garden.
It was just so colorful! I got these of the kids in front of this freesia bush.
The flower carosel:
Little bells.
More shoes.
AND an event calendar. Mom and I are already planning to come with Luna later this summer.
Another shoe!
It was seriously such an amazing day, look at that view! Spring in Utah county is basically the best. The trees, the flowers, my cute mom and my kiddos…
LOVE.
This day, I have been anticipating it for so long, and the fact that it was here, and we were towards the end of our visit made me kind of sad. BUT look at those back lit pink tulips!
Heading out, there is so much still to see and enjoy.
The kid in me wishes they would let us roll down this hill with the cascading flowers on each side, but alas, it was roped off.
Such a beautiful day. The sun is back, the weather is warming up, and there is opportunity for travel and freedom ahead this year!
