On Easter weekend, there was once a plan for the kids to sleep over, but we decided it was too complicated, so we didn’t. The only way to get away with canceling, was to set another date that we would have a sleep over.
Well the day finally arrived and the kids, quite on accident, dressed in all different colors to celebrate.
We started the day with a trip to the park and walking Luna.
Betsy stuck around for all the fun.
Karl brought his car and Luna was in frantic heaven.
I took this chance to get a selfie with these cute kiddos.
Not only did Karl bring his car, extra batteries AND the dog. He brought along the old card table for jumps.
KIDS!
The started gathering sticks and making wands, and by the end of the outing we were dragging half a tree home with us.
Dinner was the boys favorite, Little Cesar’s.
After dinner the little kids watch Rio on the big TV upstairs, and the big kids played Harry Potter trivial pursuit.
Going to bed was…hard. The Reddochs ended up staying in the big room together, and it was cray cray. The kids were ALL up by 6:30, and I was not here for it.
Big surprise they were all dead tired by noon.
It was Sunday, so we watched church together after breakfast. We even showed the kids a couple of our music time videos.
Betsy arrived around noon, and we had a big lunch of taquitos.
After lunch we went on a walk to the park. The battle was who got to hold Luna’s leash.
We ended up at the Elementary School playground and the kids had a ball.
The girls wanted to be carried, and Karl obliged.
They got too worried too quick, and so Lucas got on for a ride.
Ginger gave up, but Rosy convinced her mom.
It was a slower than normal walk home, and we were all helping to little kids stay focused and get home.
At dinner time, Betsy took the kids home, and we made a dinner of Super Salad.
We were beat. The kids too. It was fun to all be together and have lots of time to talk, play, and of course eat!
