Last week was so busy that I hardly had time to blog. So lets jump right in.
Monday was Valentines day. I know that it is just a con by corporate America to get us to spend more money, still I fall for it every year. This year I a friend from work was selling cakes and cookies to raise money for a choir tour and I got this one for Karl.
This is how I found the cake in the car. I can’t decide if karl couldn’t find a fork, or if he just got too hungry to wait.
We went to Sees and got our traditional box of Valentines Day candy. The line was longer than we thought it would be…lesson learned.
Our next mistake was that we thought that Texas Roadhouse would be a great place for dinner. We showed up early and the line was out the door. We were finally seated and you think that would be that. Sadly no. As we were seated a barbershop quartet followed us in. They followed us in such a way that we were stuck in our booth. It was almost 20 minutes until our server could even get to us.
We comforted ourselves by eating all of our rolls and honey butter.
Once we saw the server dinner was great.
Tuesday and Wednesday night were the Banff Mountain Film Festival.
Krysta and Zac hooked us up with tickets. They have been attending the festival for the past couple of years.
The first night was really fun. My favorite film was called crossing the ditch.
Karl and I really enjoyed ourselves.
Krysta and Zac.
Night two we joined in on the festivities at the sleeping bag stuffing contest.
Karl was serious business.
25 seconds, not great.
We got our bike racks up finally.
Yes. We did it.
I guess the week wasn’t that busy.
