As a ward/ neighborhood we were “Lighting the World” by lighting Luminaries in the ward on Monday night. Over the weekend the Beckstead family dropped off white bags, sand, and candles.

On Monday night we had dinner then decorated out bags a few different ways. We drew Christmas designs on them:

We did pin prick art on them.

 

We filled the bags with sand, put the candles in, then lit them. 

We walked around the neighborhood and it was lovely!

 

But the lights in front of our house were our favorites.

Super fun new neighborhood tradition! I hope we do it again next year.
