Grandma with her Kids

After church on Sunday mom sat and read to the kids. Mom is the best reader.

I know mom is going to hate me for posting this picture, but it just shows how wonderfully expressive. She commits to the emotions of every character. I know I am so empathetic because my mom taught me about emotion in stories.

The kids were loving it and totally engaged.

We had a family dinner that night. We celebrated Cam’s birthday.

He brought a peach pie.

We spent the next whole day in the car.

Saying goodbye to Grandma.

We drove behind mom to the airport. Where we met Belle, who was getting home from a Conference in LA.

We drove to Brunch. We passed KP’s place on our way. I saw it for the first time. I STILL have never been there.

We went here for Breakfast:

Belle picked it, and it was pretty delicious.

It was full on. The place didn’t have high chairs, so I didn’t really eat much.

We talked about Belle’s trip and mom and dad’s plans. The kids climbed under the table and hit each other.

After lunch we went to Trader Joe’s so mom and Belle could have some time alone to chat without me and these CRAZY children constantly interpreting them.

We had to say bye to mom after that. We dropped her off at the airport. And then I drove Belle home. When we got home it was almost 3:00. The kids took a break. We were happy to be home, sad to say goodbye to mom.
