Waking up is hard to do. After a full day of running around, it was a tough thing to wake up. Thankfully, it was Sunday, and our first full day at sea, so we had really no need to get going too fast. We were finally really on vacation, and we were ready to relax. EXCEPT, Karl thought it would be cool to see the sun rise from bed.
It was a fun idea, and it was pretty. BUT it was also super duper bright.
The kids were up with the sunrise. And the view was just incredible.
We got up nice and slowly. Then off to breakfast.
Lucas just had some sensible cereal for breakfast.
While I tried to stay awake. Still feeling sleepy.
After breakfast we went to the game room/ library. It was torn up! Torn up game pieces everywhere.
We were able to find just enough piecesĀ for a semi functional game of hungry hungry hippos.
Mirah got her tag on, and she was stoked!
Then we dropped the kids off at Camp Ocean for the first time. We were free!! Camp ocean opens at 10 AM, there was a huge line, so it was almost 10:30 when we finally dropped them off.
We started with a sweet sweet walk around the ship.
After that, seriously, we went back to the room and fell asleep. Like totally asleep. Because when was the last time we were able to both take a nap in the middle of the day? Like NEVER.
We woke up from our nap, and grabbed the kids for some lunch. On sea days, they serve BBQ.
We found a seat by the window, and had some lunch.
And would you believe that we took the kids back to the room…for a nap?
Cuz we did. We woke up, watched a movie and some TV until it was dinner time. We took the kids back to Camp Ocean, where they ate dinner.
And WE went to have fancy dinner on our own. Yes, it was cruise elegance night.
It was a pretty cool fancy menu that night.
Roasted pork belly tarts. They were not good.
We ordered everything. We just couldn’t decide. Yep we got a bacon carbonara and lobster with mushroom risotto with shrimp on top.Ā I got the prime rib AND the lobster with mushroom risotto with shrimp on top.
Then we did the same thing for dessert.
It was a good thing that we didn’t over eat…because they invited everyone in the restaurant to dance.
Oh wait, we did, and they did.
Then the servers really started to dance.
We went and saw a show then went and picked up the kids.
They were having a prince and princess night. So the kids all had crowns.
Lucas fell and hit his head while we were gone.
Last thing we did. We grabbed a stroller from the kids care to use for the next day.
When we got back to the room, house keeping had been there. Then left us a cute little elephant towel.
