There were rough seas that night. Sleep alluded me. Not our of fear, just out of being woken up like someone was shaking me awake. When we woke up it was the same story:
We had an early breakfast that morning. You may recall that we had a signed up for the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast the first day of the trip. Now it was the last day of the cruise and the time had come.
We were running late due to sleepiness.
So most of the people were seated when we got to the Black Pearl dining room. Everything was all decorated and fun when we arrived.
Cat in the hat Ice Sculpture.
We stopped to pose with the Lorax.
The hostess came to seat us.
She gave us our Menus.
The tables were decorated so cutely. Tall fun center pieces.
The napkins looked like bow ties.
Don’y worry, they came apart very easily.
They also had some cool themed kids coloring books.
We had another amazing set a breakfast bread.
Then THE Cat in the Hat showed up and the kids were so excited.
I enjoyed the ambiance. But I was getting all vacationed out.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 stopped by our table to say hi!
Then The Cat again.
Our CRAZY breakfast arrived.
This is what we ordered, and how it appeared on the menu:
From There to Here, From Here to There,
Funny Belgian Waffles are Everywhere
One berry, two berry, red berry, blue berry. Waffles with whipped cream.
Waffles without. Just tell us which one; no need to shout.
Do You Like Green Eggs and Ham?
Would you, could you, on a boat? Try them while you float.
Try them and you may, I say
Truffula Tree Pancakes
Those pancakes! Those pancakes!
Stacked high as the trees.
I’ve been searching my whole life for stacks such as these.
We were all so excited we ordered lots.
You Can Think About Yogurt Parfait Schlopp
Schlopp. Schlopp. Beautiful Schlopp.
Beautiful yogurt parfait schlopp with a berry (or kiwi or strawberry) on top.
We were excited to try one of these. They were on display as we came in.
Right as we got our breakfast look who arrived!
After all of that breakfast, we had to go to the Debarkation meeting. We dropped the kids off at Camp Ocean, and learned about getting off of the boat.
We were still full from breakfast so at lunch time we took a nap.
All of us, in the same bed. There was a lot of this during this trip. It was fine. Turns out when you are tired enough, you sleep a lot HARDER.
Oh, did I mention that March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday? Since the boat has so much Dr. Seuss stuff they had an extra special birthday party.
They even did a drawing for a special Dr. Seuss prize, which LUCAS WON!! Four new Dr. Seuss books.
After the party, we went back to the room, and watched the sun setting.
The kids were over that, so we went swimming instead.
The water had calmed down.
But it was still FREEZING cold. And our WILEY kids wouldn’t get in.
So we found our indoor jetted pool and took a soak.
The kids were getting hungry so we got out.
For our last night on the ship, we dropped Lucas off at camp ocean for dinner, and took Mirah out just the three of us. My bread plate tonight was pretty cool:
I had the honor to sit by my sweet lady.
Mirah had two kinds of soup, and lots of bread .
There was Baked Alaska for dessert.
Last Carnival Melting Chocolate cake…
Mirah wanted to go to Camp Ocean, so we walked her over, while taking a stroll on the deck.
The moon was pretty magical that night.
We dropped her off with Lucas.
Then went to the theater for the Lip Sync Battle Finale
It was pretty great. That’s all.
After the show, we grabbed some pizza, and just hung out for a few last minutes before we went to get our babes.
Back in the room:
Feeling the love tonight.
