The day dawned bright. And the cute dogs were still smelly.

Happy Mothers day.

My little munchkins climbed down to say good morning to me.

My happy place.

My sweetheart Karl was in charge of breakfast, and he was a champion.

While we waited for breakfast, Mirah brought me a gift. They had brought them along from Orem. And hidden them the whole time we had been out here. She said she had more gifts for me in the cabin, and brought me there to check them out.

A cutie pie magnet for me.

Wrapped in a baggie she made just for me.

Lucas and Karl and Mirah had made me a card too.

Outside Lucas was using his Lighting McQueen shoes as cars.

Breakfast was ready, and stinky dogs were present.

BUT Lucas was ready to get dressed. So he got naked.

Breakfast was served, Lucas was dressed, it was pretty much the best morning ever.

 

And then Zac pulled out a BB gun.

As he did Lucas said, “What’s that?”

Zac said, “These are some BB guns.”

Lucas said, “Oh guns? Guns is my favorite.”

Then he followed him laughing and clapping the whole way.

This additude about guns made me very nervous, but we took the opportunity to teach the kids about gun safely. Which I do feel is important.

Lucas was up first.

He loved it.

Then Mirah.

 

Then Zac, and Karen.

Lucas found a big stick and started using it like a rifle.

We were heading out from the Ranch for the day. We cleaned up, packed up, and did a final photo shoot in front of our cabins before we left.

 

 

We were going to check out the Devil’s Gate slot canyon again.
